Cookies Policy

What are cookies?

Cookies are small files which track and store users’ session(s) and overall engagement with a website over time. Cookies allow the server to deliver a page tailored to a particular user, or carry information from one visit to the website (or related site) to the next.

What types of Cookie do we use?

We use two types of cookies: persistent cookies and session cookies.

A persistent cookie helps us recognize you as an existing user, so it’s easier to return to LinkedIn or interact with our services without signing in again. After you sign in, a persistent cookie stays in your browser and will be read when you return to one of our sites or a partner site that uses our services.

Session cookies only last for as long as the session (usually the current visit to a website or a browser session).

What information will these cookies capture?

These cookies enable the collection of metadata such as IP address information, timestamp, and events (e.g. page views). All data is encrypted.

What will this information be used for?

Cookies are used to recognize you when you visit a website, remember your preferences, and give you a personalized experience that’s in line with your settings. In addition, cookies make your interactions with social media platforms such as LinkedIn faster and more secure. Additionally, cookies allow us to bring you advertising both on and off the social media channels, and bring customized features to you through plugins such as LinkedIn’s “Share” button.

Can I control these Cookies?

Our cookies are stored in a user’s browser until a user deletes the cookie or the cookie expires (there’s a rolling six-month expiration from the last time the user’s browser loaded the cookie). Users have full control to block or delete cookies in their browser settings.
