As part of our unwavering commitment to the environment, we are excited to announce our new initiative: planting a tree for every Edyn and C2 mobile planter unit sold. This means that you can enjoy the luxury of biophilia in your workspace while contributing to the preservation of nature.
Tree planting positively impacts both people and the planet, offering immediate and long-term benefits. While trees alone cannot combat climate change, they are a crucial component of the solution.
Forests of Kenya
We have chosen to plant these trees in the forests of Kenya, a region rich in biodiversity. Home to approximately 1,847 species of birds, mammals, amphibians, and reptiles, as well as 6,505 types of vascular plants, Kenya’s forests are among the most ecologically diverse on the planet.
Covering over 37 million hectares, these forests play a vital role in sequestering CO2, storing rainwater, and providing livelihoods for local communities. However, human activities such as logging, charcoal burning, and illegal agricultural settling have led to widespread deforestation, exacerbating severe droughts and extreme poverty.

Mombasa, Kenya, is a coastal city steeped in history and culture, with vibrant markets, stunning beaches, and a harmonious blend of Swahili and Arabic influences. Despite its charm, the region also grapples with significant underdevelopment and environmental challenges.
Local communities rely on the mangrove ecosystem for employment, livelihoods, and nutrition, but vast urbanization and a lack of governance have led to the overexploitation and overharvesting of this crucial ecosystem.
This project is dedicated to restoring mangrove forests while empowering the local community with the work and resources needed to break the cycle of poverty in the region. The restoration of the biodiverse-rich estuary will create additional income streams from fishing, among other benefits, while the restoration of the local forests will improve storm and climate change defences.

How Our Contribution makes an impact:
- Working with the local community to restore degraded areas with indigenous tree species.
- Reestablishing clear water supplies
- Reviving habitats
- Establishing areas vulnerable to landslides
- Providing alternative, non-timber sources of income (e.g., seeds for essential oils)
- Providing environmental education to the locals
- Training forest rangers
Together, we can make a significant difference, and we look forward to taking you on this journey with us at Moventi.
